From traditional Emirati dance performances to a specially designed 2.8 metres tall model of Sheikh Mohammed’s three-finger salute, there is plenty to see and do this weekend to celebrate the 47th UAE National Day!
Boxpark
From 29 November to 3 December, a dedicated children’s area at Boxpark will host a range of fun UAE-themed art and craft workshops and face-painting sessions. Henna artists will also be available, and Emirati dance performances and entertainment acts are scheduled to take place every hour.
Details: Activities will take place at Boxpark from 4pm to 10pm, beginning on Thursday 29th November until Monday 3rd December.
Jumeirah Beach Residence
JBR will host Al Ayala dancers, Al Razfa drummers, Arabic musicians and traditional mascots throughout the long weekend as they take centre stage for an unforgettable celebration, as LED Cyr wheel performers wow adults and children alike.
Details: The performances will be free to watch, and will run from 4pm – 10pm on Saturday 1st December and Sunday 2nd December.
LEGOLAND Dubai
LEGOLAND Dubai will showcase its specially designed Salute LEGO Model this weekend – a three-finger salute popularised by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, made purely out of LEGO that represents win, victory, and love, and symbolises work ethic, success, and love of the nation.
In addition to viewing the Salute Model, families can take part in a number of activities at LEGOLAND Dubai over the weekend, including a fun UAE history scavenger hunt in MINILAND for a chance to win a LEGO Burj Khalifa box set; as well as help build a four-meter-long National Day LEGO mosaic.
Details: The Salute LEGO model will be on display from 28 November – 3 December.
Ibn Battuta Mall
Ibn Battuta Mall will install a special majlis installation at India Court to mark the 47th UAE National Day, featuring Arabic calligraphers, falconers and henna artists, offering a glimpse into the UAE’s rich cultural heritage. Visitors will be welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates, the essence of UAE hospitality, and children will be entertained with fun face painting sessions.
Details: The majilis will be open from 4pm – 8pm on 29 and 30 November, and 1 and 3 December; on 2 December it will open from 2pm – 10pm. Ayala roaming performances will take place from 2pm to 9pm on 2 December.
The Outlet Village
The Outlet Village will celebrate the spirit of the union with roaming entertainment acts that showcase the country’s vibrant culture on 29 November and from 1 to 3 December. Children and grown-ups alike can enjoy performances of traditional UAE dances Al Ayala and Al-Razfa, and pose for photos with a falcon. Henna artists will also be available to decorate women’s hands, and arts and crafts will keep the kids busy with balloon twisting and face painting.
Details: The Outlet Village, Dubai will be open throughout the weekend from 10am – 12 midnight for shops, and 10am to 1am for F&B outlets.

A section of the mall area will be adorned with souq-style decor elements, with a night court area featuring an installation designed to give visitors the look and feel of Old Dubai. Women and little girls can get henna done, and the family can head to the spice and jewellery stalls and souq soon after, to learn more about the country’s rich history and fishermen trade.
