Four things to do on Mother’s Day weekend in Dubai
If you’re stuck for things to do this weekend, don’t worry – we’ve got everything from family fun days to a festival of colour in our round-up this week…
Enjoy a family picnic at Brighton College Dubai
Open to all families across the Emirate, Brighton College Dubai’s Family Picnic will be a day of fun, food and activities that include traditional British school ground games such as hop scotch and hula hooping, as well as cookie decorating, a cake decorating competition, face painting and fun magic shows throughout the afternoon.
Manchester City Football School will be hosting a boot camp with fun football skills and a British art activity running throughout the afternoon, as well as sports day races with classic games such as the egg and spoon race and the three-legged race that children can register to take part in.
Guests will also have the opportunity to take a tour around the newly opened Brighton College Dubai campus in Al Barsha to discover more about the College and the outstanding British curriculum that the school prides itself in teaching.
Details: Saturday 23rd March 2019 from 2-6pm at Brighton College Dubai, Al Barsha South. Entry is free. For more information, visit the website.
Celebrate the Festival of Colours at Global Village
Global Village will host Indian hip-hop stars, Badshah & Raftaar, live in concert this Friday – with entry costing just AED 15 per person.
Guests are invited to celebrate the Festival of Colours with multiple fun activations including Happiness Pool, Wall of Colors, and meet and greet opportunities with kids favorite characters, followed by the signature fireworks show before the concert begins at 9 pm.

Attend a family fun day on JBR
Make the most of the weather with this Friday at the fun Family Day at the Hilton Dubai Jumeriah in JBR. The Family Day combines weekend relaxation for parents and high-energy fun for kids – hosted by kids’ sports club, Kevin’s Academy, together with Just Play.
Expect enthusiastic sports coaches onsite to teach sports and football to kids, as well as fun activities to take part in, such as the ‘Soap Football Challenge’ on the ‘soapy pitch.’ A soft and soapy surface is laid onto the soft sand of the beach and kids will undoubtedly have fun slipping and sliding around on while they’re scoring goals!
Children can either enjoy the swimming pool with you or play regular beach football and beach volleyball under the supervision of professional kids’ coaches, while parents sit back, relax and enjoy the weather with a cool drink!
Details: 9am-1pm Friday 22 March. Suitable for families with kids age 4-17 years. Entry is priced at AED 150 per family, or AED 100 per adult along with free entry for kids. Entry includes access to the swimming pool, towels, and games. For more information, contact Kevin at Kevin’s Academy on +971 50 947 1898.
