ATTIKO to host exclusive four-hands dinner featuring renowned chef

ATTIKO, Dubai’s favourite rooftop destination, will host an exclusive four-hands dinner with Chef Ikegami Takahiko, the head chef and owner of Japan’s celebrated Robatayaki Zekkocho Teppen, on Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th of January.

Hidden away in a quiet back alley of Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo, Zekkocho is a culinary gem, renowned for its authentic Izakaya-style dining, where tradition meets a vibrant, lively atmosphere.

This one-of-a-kind collaboration will transport guests from Dubai to Japan, merging the essence of Izakaya dining with modern flair. Chef Ikegami, alongside Chef Kyung So Moon, Group Culinary Director of Sunset Hospitality Group, will present a curated menu of signature seasonal dishes, paired with exquisite sake, and accompanied by entertainment that pays homage to Japan’s rich cultural heritage.

Izakaya dining is an experience like no other—relaxed, social, and brimming with flavour. Small, shareable plates, each crafted with care and accompanied by drinks, create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. With its chic design, stunning views, and infectious energy, ATTIKO offers the perfect setting to immerse in this lively yet intimate dining tradition, bringing the best of both worlds together.

Chef Ikegami’s 22 years of culinary mastery have shaped his unwavering dedication to Izakaya dining. Since the age of 18, he has perfected the art of using fresh, seasonal ingredients, staying true to the authentic flavours that define Zekkocho, meaning “Top of the Top.”

Diners can look forward to a medley of expertly crafted dishes, including Chinese Cabbage and Tuna with Yuzu Kosho Mayo, Homemade Enoki Mushroom with Oroshi, and Salmon Roe on Rice Ball. The menu also includes standout creations such as Slow-Cooked Tomato with Dashi Broth, Crispy Shiso with Toro and Uni, and Spicy Tuna Taco. For the main courses, dishes include Japanese Meat and Potato Stew Croquette, Chilean Seabass with White Miso, and Wagyu Truffle Sliders, delivering a culinary journey designed to transport guests straight to the heart of Japan.

Prices start at AED 425 per person for a set menu with an optional sake pairing at an additional cost. This exclusive dining experience follows a sharing concept that fosters both communal connection and intimate conversations. With limited seating, guests will have the rare opportunity to interact closely with the chefs, gaining insight into the artistry behind Japanese Izakaya dining.
