The theme for March’s free parent breakfast event was ‘Blooming Bellies & Babies’, sponsored by Ecoma, Clevamama and Ingenuity. Here’s a quick rundown of the insightful discussions at the event – and look out for a complete event article in the April issue of Mother Baby & Child!

The event took place on Saturday 8th March, International Women’s Day, at the ‘Stella di Mare hotel, Dubai Marina and was supported by our partners from Ecoma, Clevamama and Ingenuity. The event began with a welcome address from Veronica Martin, before introducing the first guest, Alison Duhan a representative from Ecoma.

How Ecoma is leading the charge in eco-friendly baby essentials

Alison Duhan, Brand Representative for Ecoma Baby Care.

Alison Duhan, Brand Representative for Ecoma Baby Care emphasised the critical role of eco-conscious products in baby care, highlighting their significance for both infant health and environmental sustainability.

She noted that traditional baby products often contain harmful chemicals that can irritate delicate skin and pose health risks. In contrast, eco-friendly alternatives, made from natural, biodegradable materials, ensure safety and comfort for infants while reducing environmental impact.

She also discussed the broader implications of sustainable practices in parenting, pointing out that conventional baby care products contribute significantly to landfill waste and environmental degradation. By choosing sustainable options, parents can actively reduce their ecological footprint, promoting a healthier planet for future generations.

Ecoma is at the forefront of this movement, offering innovative, plant-based diapers that combine comfort with environmental responsibility. Their diapers are crafted from sustainably sourced materials, including biodegradable corn starch fibres, making them soft, breathable, and gentle on sensitive skin.

Free from harmful chemicals, these diapers minimise irritation and are ideal for newborns. With 45% plant-based content and advanced hygiene seals, Ecoma’s products provide up to 12 hours of leakproof protection. Certified by FSC, FDA, and Sedex, Ecoma ensures high standards of sustainability, safety, and ethical sourcing.

By integrating eco-friendly materials and practices, Ecoma empowers parents to make responsible choices that benefit both their children and the planet, setting a new standard in sustainable baby care.

Ingenuity

Veronica Martin, conducting a presentation on Ingenuity.

Veronica Martin gave an introduction about Ingenuity, a premium baby brand under Kids2, a global company dedicated to designing solutions that support early-stage parents and families. Their brand mission is to encourage families throughout their parenting journey by offering products that nurture babies in safe, comfortable environments.

Recognising that parenting is not a one-size-fits-all experience, Ingenuity aims to be part of the support system for families from sunup to sundown. Their product categories are thoughtfully designed to address various aspects of parenting:

  • Easy Eating: High chairs and booster seats that simplify mealtime.
  • Peaceful Play: Play gyms and toys that promote engagement and development.
  • Helping Hand: Bouncers, swings, and travel accessories that provide convenience and comfort.
  • Shared Shuteye: Bassinets and playards to support restful sleep for babies.

In 2020, Ingenuity expanded its offerings by introducing a line of plush baby toys, including squeak toys, rattles, lovey blankets, and activity toys. This expansion marked the brand’s entry into the play category, aiming to provide comprehensive solutions for parents.

Furthering its commitment to simplifying parenting, Ingenuity launched “ity by Ingenuity,” a gear line that emphasises safety, comfort, and elevated design, making these features accessible to all families.

In 2022, Kids2 acquired Baby Dream Machine, a 5-in-1 sleep device designed to help babies and parents sleep better. This addition to the Ingenuity brand portfolio underscores the brand’s dedication to delivering healthy sleep and soothing products. Ingenuity continues to innovate and expand its product lines, striving to make parenthood a little bit easier, one tiny win at a time.
