The Ultimate Hair Makeover at Pastels Salon Dubai

This stand-alone villa on Al Wasl road has long been a go-to for women within the vicinity and beyond. You probably already know Pastels, if you have lived in Dubai long enough. They’re one of the trailblazers for hair – especially colour – and so I popped in for the ultimate makeover.

The weather is better, your attire evolves, and your makeup changes? So why not your hair? For me, this time of year calls for a new hair-do – I usually prefer long hair, and go for warm tones, and anything to make my locks as glossy and hydrated as possible. I spoke to Georgia May (my stylist) who told me I’d need four hours for my makeover.

It began with a comb through, and me going through a few looks to choose my colour tone and shape. A chocolate-brown was recommended, something that would conceal the dry blondish streaks – the end result of my colour from just over eight months ago. Georgia mixed in a Smart bond product from L’Oreal to the colour, to hydrate and bond my hair instantly. It worked! After applying two colours to my hair – at the top and bottom – it was washed and dried for the cut. While I wanted a fringe, Georgia was kind enough to advise me and suggested Brigette Bardot-esque bangs that cut off just at my cheekbones. I could instantly notice how it framed my face and highlighted my features. A quick blow dry and I was ready to head out with hydrated locks that revealed a glossy sheen – check out the before – lackluster hair combed out – and after image if you don’t believe me!
