An Indo-French Bakehouse like no other

This quaint, Indo-French bakehouse, nestled in the heart of Al Mina Rashid in Dubai, is thrilled to announce its grand re-opening, welcoming the community back with open arms and tantalising new menu additions.

A canvas for creativity, Cocoa & Chilli specializes in French viennoiserrie with a delightful touch of Asian zing, offering guests a mélange of flavours and a unique culinary experience. Imagine the elegance of a much-loved French boulangerie meeting the bold, vibrant flavours of India – a true feast for the senses. Stepping into the recently renovated space, guests will feel like they’re walking through an art gallery as they glance through the open kitchen to find each pastry and loaf crafted to perfection. The bakehouse’s new interiors, boasting of earthy tones with warm hues of nude and pink, create a cosy and inviting atmosphere, where guests are sure not to be overwhelmed but rather, warm and welcomed.

First opening its doors in 2021, Cocoa & Chilli was purely a French bakery. Over the years, however, creative mastermind behind the brand, Sue, decided to embark on a culinary journey of experimentation with a mix of flavours that paid tribute to her Indian roots.

At Cocoa & Chilli, freshness is key. All items are baked, fresh-to-order, with a selection of sourdough crackers, butter cookies, banana bread and others, available for purchase off the rack. The bakery’s menu, curated to instil a ‘grab & go’ concept amongst patrons and guests, currently offers a combination of French classics such as the Pain au chocolate, along with a variety of new additions that celebrate a unique fusion of French viennoiserie combined with flavours from all-over India. Must-try’s on the menu include some interesting combinations such as the Podi toast, Desi Korean Garlic Cheese Croissant and the Bombay Potato Croissant served with a side of mint chutney. Other highlights include multiple variations on the much-loved Sourdough and for those looking at healthier options to indulge in, Cocoa & Chilli also offers the likes of Gluten-free Bread, Gluten-free Brownies, and an assortment of Healthy Nut butters to get you through the day. In addition to these, signature cakes include a decadent Chocolate cake with Shrikhand Mousse topped with a milk-chocolate ganache, the Chai Cake with Parle G biscuit, topped with an infused custard chai ganache, and the Pistachio cake with a Pistachio praline, frosted with a rose buttercream; the ultimate cake for any celebration no matter how big or small.

Looking to the future, Cocoa & Chilli will soon be introducing a one-of-a-kind ‘Sourdough Membership’, where customers can choose between two to four loaves of sourdough to be delivered to their doorstep each week, tailored to their preferences and needs.
