A transformative inclusivity week across Dubai Holding Entertainment attractions
Dubai Holding Entertainment made history with the first-ever “Walk of Inclusion” at Dubai Parks™ and Resort, a groundbreaking event that brought together families, individuals, and advocates to champion disability inclusion. At the heart of the walk stood the “Shelter of Inclusivity,” a thought provoking art installation created with the support of Canadian University Dubai and ImInclusive, showcasing the power of diversity to build stronger communities.
In addition to the “Walk of Inclusion”, MOTIONGATETM Dubai hosted the Emirates Down Syndrome Association for a photography competition celebrating creativity and inclusion in a sensory-friendly environment. While at LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort engaged families with interactive LEGO® STEM and Emotion-Building workshops that fostered learning and connection. At the same time, Lapita, Dubai Parks™ and Resorts hosted adaptive gingerbread baking classes in collaboration with ImInclusive.
The “Inclusivity Week” continued across Dubai Holding Entertainment’s portfolio. The Green PlanetTM Dubai offered a sensory experience for the visually impaired through guided nature tours, in collaboration with Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination. The tours offered participants to engage with the rainforest through touch, sound, and smell. Guests were also encouraged to contribute to the “Nature in Colours” art wall, creating a collaborative masterpiece inspired by the biodome’s flora and fauna.
Meanwhile, at Roxy Cinemas provided a sensory-friendly movie experience with soft lighting, quiet zones, and accessible features with a premiere screening of ‘Wild Robot’, and The View at Palm Jumeirah offered a Sign Language interpretation session for the Deaf community, ensuring all guests could enjoy the stories behind Dubai’s stunning skyline.
Adding more to the lineup, the sands of Jumeirah Beach Residence became a hub of activity as SANAD Village partnered with Sea Breeze for an inclusive beach walk and fitness classes. While Inside Burj Al Arab introduced a purple-themed cocktail and floral décor for guests to enjoy. Wild Wadi Waterpark™ offered VIP ticket prizes to its guests.
To enhance the festivities, IBCCES provided sensory kits as giveaways at each event, and Global Village and Ain Dubai lit up in purple as powerful symbols of unity. ARN hosted a fully booked tour of their facilities for People of Determination, and Coca-Cola Arena lit up in purple while gifting free basketball tickets to 20 People of Determination for Sunday’s game.
This remarkable week celebrated inclusivity, fostering connection and community in the UAE.
